Need
In many gas‑chromatography (GC) applications there is a growing need to extend injection, valve‑ switching and multi‑column capability beyond the standard single‑inlet oven. Without an auxiliary thermal zone, users are limited in how many sample injection valves they can reliably maintain at stable temperature, or how many columns can be integrated into complex applications (e.g., refinery gas, multi‐stream analysis). The Wasson-ECE Auxiliary Oven solves this by providing a separate, temperature‑controlled chamber that enables added injection valves, back‑flush valves, and additional analytical columns under controlled thermal conditions.
- High valve and column‑capacity thermal zone: Supports up to five valves and up to multiples packs and capillary columns.
- Fully integrated with GC controls: This oven mounts on top of the GC system and shares the control interface so that the auxiliary chamber is synchronized with the main oven sequence.
- Designed for complex applications: Ideal for refinery‑gas, petrochemical and process applications where multiple columns and valves need to be housed in a thermal zone to maintain integrity, reduce condensation and maximize uptime.
- Up to 5 valve positions (rotary or diaphragm) and up to multiple analytical columns supported,
- Secondary thermal zone mounted on GC system
- Temperature range up to 175⁰C
- Integration of heated transfer/bridge zone from auxiliary oven to GC column oven.
- Multi‑valve GC systems for refinery gas analysis (RGA) where many injection/sample switching valves plus columns are required.
- Laboratory GC systems where users wish to expand capabilities beyond standard single inlet/one column to heart‐cutting, multidimensional, or multi‑stream analysis.
In one published case the auxiliary oven was used in the Wasson‑ECE RGA solution to host a second thermal zone, enabling up to five additional rotary valves and six columns which extended analysis capabilities far beyond traditional methods.
